Starting on the Nursery!

We have finally started working on the nursery. Tay and I put together the crib on sunday and I'm now working on the details of the room. I think my paintings turned out cute for the room and the toy box my dad made looks great. Also I love the orange blanket my mom made, it's the perfect color! The pets are loving the shag rug and I find Pippen sleeping in there every morning.

More pictures to come...........

Basement construction

Tay and our friend Nick have been working hard these past weeks trying to get the spare room ready in the basement so I can get the nursery started! I can't thank Nick enough for helping us out! *For those of you who don't know Tay and I don't sleep together due to his violent night terrors* So we've been waiting to do the nursery until Tay has somewhere to put his bed. Here are some Pic of the progress of the spare room. We should have most of it finished by next week!

What a cool Toy Box!

When I was searching for stuff for the nursery I came across this cute owl toy box. However, it was $399-475!!

So I emailed my dad to see if he could make one for cheap. Look how awesome it turned out!
We were able to put almost everything we got at the showers in it for the trip back to Colorado!

Thanks Dad! We love it!

Biting off more then I can paint....

I think because of my desire for adventure and doing something different I got this great idea to paint my dark brown hallway orange.

I painted it this not-so-lovely looking yellow orange

and then made the right choice of a spice orange.

Next time I get the genius idea to paint when I'm 6 months pregnant I'm calling you to stop me or you could just take me on a nice beach vacation instead.

Check it out!

I've been getting questions like what are your colors, what have you bought and so on. Well since you can't come to me I guess I'll come to you. Here you are for your viewing pleasure:

Taylor painted most of the room. (I finished the detailing). The color: Asparagus.

Here is the paint with the babies bedding.. basically these are the colors of the room: green, orange, brown (or wood), gray.

Things I've made:

Originally I made these painting pre-baby, but I thought they would look cute in his room:

I got this wooden E and then wrapped it with some cute wrapping paper.

Things I've Purchased:

You can't go wrong with a robot lamp! FYI: I got some great fabric to cover the lamp shade..

Cute robot and animal clothing.. we haven't bought a lot of clothing.. I'm waiting till the showers.

I want to have natural woods and nature in his room... Cute potted plant with his name and a gnome.

Lauren made this cute owl print (owl making pancakes) we framed it. Taylor bought this wooden alligator toy the day after we found out we were having a baby.

Ok.. I feel like you are all sufficiently updated!
